This ‘Google environment’ gives us the basis we need as an online organization: e-mail (Gmail), storage of files and data (Google Drive), a shared or unshared agenda (Google Calendar) and last but not least Google Docs. The latter is, in our opinion, a full-fledged alternative to Microsoft Google DocsOffice.
Google Docs
We are there all day long: have tons of schedules, make plans, set up briefings, come up with new formats and concepts, share how-tos and have tons of real-time reporting. We also share documents and files with our trainers and even clients (for collaborating with our authors we have WordPress of course ).
Skype
Google of course offers Google
Hangouts. And that works fine. However, we unanimously find that Skype is more stable and works a bit before i explain the essentialnicer. The main reason to use Google Hangouts occasionally was that you could also have free group conversations there (very handy if you want to organize a meeting) and not on Skype. But now that is also possible with Skype.
Chatwant to mention it : Google’s chat function. Nothing is easier and nothing is faster when you have a quick question or do a one-two with a colleague. You can even start group conversations with it, for example to make short appointments with a few colleagues.
And chat is not only practical, it is also fun. Because how else do you talk about the past weekend, the upcoming south africa numbers weekend or the series you are watching and how cool the last episode was? With your status you can also make a lot clear to your colleagues, by the way.
You are not always behind your computer or laptop
You are sometimes on a customer or toilet visit or smoking a cigarette on your balcony. If we no longer have one the most classic report card gifts chat contact, we ‘simply’ switch to WhatsApp. That sometimes continues until the early hours. And that is really not only because our community is still active then. Is it getting a bit too cozy? Then you simply turn off the notifications.
