In this article, I share a number of tips for Instagram enthusiasts. I also compare 3 accounts that all get their many likes & followers in very different ways.
Being social: following relevant people, who hopefully follow back
Where a few years ago you could follow people for hours on end, you can now follow ‘only’ 20 per hour. Following a huge number of people is the strategy that fashion blogger Negin Mirsalehi used in the beginning, which is why she now has almost two million followers.
After Doutzen Kroes , with 2.6 million followers, Negin is the biggest Dutch person on Instagram. She earns a lot of money with product placement, or sponsored posts. When she started with Instagram in 2012, she started following a lot of people who had ‘something’ with fashion. Because she is you can play games both drop-dead gorgeous and posts the most beautiful outfits, all those people started following her back and she had a few hundred thousand followers in no time.

She also grew so fast, because there are simply many fashion lovers active on Instagram. And once she marketing list reached a few hundred thousand followers, she was guaranteed to appear with her posts on the ‘popular page’ with posts that were most popular at that moment. That ensured even faster growth.
